What We Treat

Alcoholism, drug addiction and co-occurring disorders don’t discriminate. There is no income or education level, no race or social status immune from their effects. At Futures, we treat moms and dads. Sisters and brothers. Sons and daughters. CEOs and factory workers. We treat each person as an individual with a unique set of challenges, and each as a whole person whose physical, psychological and emotional health are critical components of treatment and recovery.

Since addiction is a disease that impacts a patient’s family, we also provide programs for family members. Through educational workshops, therapy sessions both with and without the patient, and visitation days, families can be involved in the recovery process right from the start and learn how to help their loved ones maintain sobriety when they return home.

Our Approach

The mission at Futures is to create the highest-quality addictions and co-occurring disorders program available, combining the most in-depth evidence-based treatment with a five-star level of personal service. Our goal is to create an integrated multidisciplinary approach that is extensive and life-changing.

Alcoholism is an addiction that can affect anyone at any age. As defined by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD), alcoholism is more of an uncontrollable need to consume alcohol and a lack of control around the substance and has less to do with how much alcohol a person consumes or how long he or she have been drinking.

Co-Occurring Disorders

Addiction can wreak havoc on every aspect of your life, but imagine how much more destructive this disease can be when it’s accompanied by mental illness. Substance abuse combined with a psychiatric disorder is known as a dual diagnosis, or a co-occurring disorder.
